Verrry nice. I have high hopes for this now. I especially like that they've improved the Ozymandias costume.
Also, the "Tales of the Black Freighter" story will not be in the movie ... but will be a bonus extra on the DVD. W00t.
Yeah, it looks cool. The costumes worked out better than I thought they would.
I think it'll be a good flick. The fans boys won't like it, but what do they know? They think the comic is some great philosophical work rather than doomsday clock vs. aliens. ;)
I kinda figured "Tales of the Black Freighter" would get nixed. Great DVD extra feature, though.
Nightowl looks terrible! He's supposed to be a fat 40 something guy batman rip off, not in a chiseled costume. Still undecided on this movie. Everyone else looks decent. Consider me a fan boi for this comic, they'll probably dumb it down just like they did with V for Vendetta and every other Alan Moore book.
I guess your opinion on Watchmen would depend on what you think of Zach Snyder. I loved 300 and his Dawn of the Dead remake, so I have think he'll remain as close to the source material as possible. I'm still so there, either way.
A comic book movie is the perfect vehicle for Zach Snyder. 300 was a very faithful reproduction of the graphic novel and I thought the Dawn of the Dead remake was pretty sweet too.
I dug V For Vendetta, but League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was a complete and utter abomination. I love those books as much as John loves Watchmen, I think.
